We wanted to use this Monday to briefly pay tribute to the extraordinary talent that was and is, Amy Winehouse. One year on to the day from her death at the age of 27, we celebrate her musical legacy. She had her problems but many of us do. It’s just that most of us don’t have to go through them in the full glare of the public eye.
Remembering Amy Winehouse isn’t just about remembering a London legend of music. It’s about remembering a legend of music full stop. It’s easy to eulogise about someone when they are gone, but there is no doubt that Amy Winehouses’ music will be played by fans who unfortunately never knew of her when she was alive. We will be featuring Amy Winehouses’ unique style in the future.
