Crazy for the Nike Air Yeezy II
As limited edition trainers go, these ones are causing quite a stir. Designed by Kanye West, the Nike Air Yeezy II was released world wide on June 9th 2012; 3 years after the originals.
Essentially a basketball trainer, it’s fair to say that trainer collectors and Kanye fans have made this one of the most anticipated trainer launches of all time. It feels very Back To The Future, and it probably feels like you have seen all the components of the trainer on older Nike trainers, but who cares who did it first, its about who’s doing it now!
The Nike Air Yeezy II is inspired by the type of trainers that are in fashion now; the big, bold basketball trainers of the eighties and early nineties.
