Laying down the Law
We had previously written about one member of the famous Primrose Hill Set, Liam Gallagher. Undoubtedly one the most famously stylish cliques of the nineties, we now focus on another guy in that group. Jude Law.

One of the best-known British actors of recent times, he has also managed to do a bit of fashion modelling along the way. It’s no secret that he is a man of great style but how do you pinpoint his look?

His most classic look is the suit jacket or even full suit with a low neckline t-shirt or top. He very much suits a more tailored, slim fitting look and although it will be difficult to predict the longevity of this style, this is the perfect look for him for now and the foreseeable future. Accessories such as bags or scarves often add that little bit of variety and colour to his wardrobe.

Unfortunately, when he strays from his tried and tested suit jacket and casual top look, the results are often varied – rarely an unmitigated disaster but his experimentation has sometimes fallen short of the really high standards he sets himself.

That’s not to say he can’t try other looks and do them well such as the leather jacket/jeans combination he is wearing in the above picture. It’s an interesting beard he has too, perhaps for a role he is about to play? This brings us to an often-discussed topic. Jude Law’s hair. It’s actually very much a non-issue. From a sartorial point of view, Jude Law started his career embracing a very youthful look such as the main picture, but ahead of his time, he embraced a mature way to dress which works as a casual look as well. The tabloid fascination with his hair is probably based off a viscous cycle of his own complexes combined with the medias interest in showing that he is ageing.
But that’s the whole point of fashion – we all age, so our style needs to evolve with this. And if we discuss that as a topic, in general, Jude Law is doing just fine. What do you think of Jude Law’s style and have you tried to replicate it?
